Indie Craft Parade: Our Booth!

I wanted to share more details with you about our booth and how we set it up for the Indie Craft Parade! -- Jenny and I spent a lot of time preparing for the show. One of the things we like to do before our shows is to set up a "mock-table" in my living room to figure out where all of our product will go and if we are missing anything. At our last show, we used a lot of natural wood pieces and created a lovely nature scene to display our work. For this show, we wanted to create a display that was adaptable to other shows, easy to assemble, and practical. Here are some detailed peeks at our booth:

Our display was on an eight foot table and mainly consisted of antiqued crates and boxes that Jenny and I hunted down from some antique malls in our area. The natural wood colors and textures really made our items stand out. Our goal for this go-around was to make everything more "viewable" and easier to see.

We bought these beautiful knobs at Urban Outfitters and screwed them on the back of an old Pepsi crate to display some of our necklaces. We also scored a pack of clear dresser knobs from Target to use on some of our other pieces to match. :)

One of my favorite finds was this beautiful vintage shadow box that we used to display all of our rings. In our previous show, we grouped a lot of our rings onto tree stumps and into little bowls, but we really wanted them to be on display this time and thought this piece was PERFECT.

We were excited to spend time really perfecting a couple of our popular pieces and that included the "Chicago Earring". We were able to display them at eye level with cute little MaieDae tags and instead of just selling the one earring by itself, we made these sweet little raw amethyst and citrine studs to go with them. Love!!

We have loved the experience of selling at handmade shows. It's amazing to meet so many talented people and we seem to always come home super inspired and excited to take on new projects and continue building MaieDae into the business we dream of. We're working hard everyday to improve our handmade products, peruse new ideas, develop our skills, and keep the momentum moving forward. :) We are thrilled to see what the future holds.

Greenville was AMAZING and we hope to get the chance to come again next year! I'll be doing another post later dedicated to some of my favorite booths and set-ups to hopefully give you some great inspiration!

If you'd like to see more photos of our adventure in Greenville, be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook page! I'll be uploading pictures throughout the day. :)
